Adherence tips for women

You’ve got to take the medication every day, in the right way. It doesn’t matter if you’re on combination therapy, taking a number of different pills a day, or a once-daily, one-tablet treatment. Important issues around adherence

  • Getting the right dose and taking the right number of pills a day
  • Taking it at the right times every day
  • Taking it with or without food
  • Making sure the other medicines you take (including the contraceptive pill) are safe to take with your anti-HIV medication

Talk to your nurse or doctor if you have any problems with adherence.
